Spanish company Aciturri acquires 50% of Portuguese company Caetano Aeronautic
The Spanish company Aciturri has reached an agreement to buy half of the capital of Caetano Aeronautic, an operation that according to both parties will contribute to market synergies as well as new business opportunities.
A Tier 2 supplier to several civilian and military Airbus programs, Caetano Aeronautic, manufactures and assemblies aeronautical components, composite and metal materials resorting to a number of technologies.
With this partnership Aciturri brings to the Portuguese company its knowledge and experience in the design, manufacturing and assembling of aeronautical modules and fosters its growth as a components supplier.
Caetano Aeronautic consolidates its position as a reference company in the development of the aeronautical sector in Portugal while maintaining its involvement in all the ongoing projects.
The alliance with Caetanao Aeronautic, a first internationalization step for Aciturri, will enable the response optimization to clients like Airbus and Embraer.
Caetano Aeronautc, with HQs in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, was established in2012, through a cooperation agreement between Salvador Caetano and Airbus.
Aciturri, with HQs in Mirande de Ebro (Burgos) employs 1.200 and is a TIER 1 supplier of aeronautical structural modules and engine components.
