Portuguese Exports to Angola grow 5%
Portuguese exports of goods and services to Angola grew 5% in the first quarter of 2014. During that period around 9,000 Portuguese companies exported to Angola.
These numbers come out right before FILDA (Luanda’s International Fair) where over 100 Portuguese companies will be participating. The attending companies come from a wide range of sectors like the metallurgic sector, paper industry, wine, IT, agro-business, just to mention a few.
According to a AICEP source “this Fair continues to serve as a good platform for both the companies that are entering or further developing the market”.
“The development of the market is often achieved through local partnerships or the establishment of manufacturing capacity in Angola”.
With 4.5 billion euros of exports (6.5% of the total exports) Angola is the main destination for Portuguese goods and services outside the EU.
