Portugal is a “very interesting destination” for French investors
The President of the Camber of Commerce and Industry Portugal-France recently stated that Portugal is a very interesting destination for French investors and that he’s seeing a growing interest in the country by French companies.
In an interview to the news agency LUSA, Bernard Chantrelle mentioned that “Portugal is the most interesting location to invest in shared service centers”. As an example he mentioned the SSC opened by BNP Paribas.
“There are over 400 French companies operating in Portugal that are associated with The Chamber. These companies employ more than 40,000 people, 31 are in the Top 500 biggest companies operating in Portugal they create value that accounts for 1.5% of the GDP” he added.
“France is the third buyer, supplier and investor in Portugal right after Spain and Germany” he mentioned.
