Novabase to get 14 million from EIB to invest in R&D
Novabase is going to receive 14 million euros from the European Investment Bank, to invest in R&D during the next 6 years.
According to a news release sent to the Exchange Commission (CMVM) “it is the first transaction from BEI in Portugal under the InnoFin – EU Finance for Innovators”, which is part of the research and innovation program of the EU for the period 2014-2020.
In a recent report – “2014 EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard” – Novabase is mentioned as the Portuguese company from the IT and software sector that invests the most in R&D and referenced as one of the top 100 in Europe.
This is the sixth consecutive year that Novabase is included in this ranking. During the last 6 years, Novabase has invested over 60 million euros in R&D.
Luís Paulo Salvado, CEO of Novabase, states in the communiqué “that R&D is an accelerator of the company’s internationalization strategy since enables the development of differentiated and innovating solutions that are more competitive globally”.
