Lisbon receives World Cloud Center from IBM
IBM is opening a world cloud center in Lisbon. The Portuguese capital is one of the 15 locations that the multinational chose to expand its offer of “cloud services”.
IBM is expected to invest 1,2 billion dollars (approximately 800 million euros) in the 15 cloud centers.
According to the publication TeK, downtown Lisbon will be part of the critical business processes, services that will be made available to small and big companies as well as to Institutions.
The Director of the Global Technology Services & Strategic Outsourcing Division of IBM Portugal, João Gonçalves, believes international companies will choose downtown Lisbon to locate their cloud solutions.
