Capgemini and AICEP – the Agency responsible for investment and foreign trade promotion – recently signed an agreement for the creation of a remote services center in Évora, Portugal.
Capgemini Portugal chose Évora to implement this project, that will create 150 jobs in the upcoming 3 years, because of the good reputation of its University and the availability of competences in the areas of information systems, management and engineering.
In addition to those critical factors Évora offers good infrastructures and easy accessibility to Lisbon.
This project will be providing IT services, development of applications (turn-key projects) as well as testing and remote services of maintenance and support to clients.
Given the proximity to the University some R&D projects are expected to “incubate” there and then be used as differentiating factors to Capgemini activities.
